Quick start in brief

  1. Pull all faders fully down and make sure +48V is off.
  2. Connect your passive speakers, checking they suit the mixer's amplifier output.
  3. Plug microphones or instruments into the channel inputs. Press +48V only for condenser microphones.
  4. Connect the power cable and switch the mixer on.
  5. Turn TRIM up until the channel's PEAK light only flickers on the loudest moments.
  6. Slowly raise MAIN L and MAIN R to a comfortable volume.
  7. Add music with Bluetooth or a USB drive, and effects with the EFFECT fader.

The guide is written and photographed for the KG-6. The KG-4 and KG-8 share the same 600W × 2 amplifier, Bluetooth, USB and built-in effects, and differ only in the number of channels, so the steps apply to them too.

Do I need a separate power amplifier?

No. The KG Series has a built-in 600W × 2 amplifier, so it can drive compatible passive speakers directly.
