HRIDZ UR-109 PRO Wireless Microphone System Troubleshooting guide
Troubleshooting Guide for Humming Noise
We understand you are hearing a humming noise when both microphones are turned on. The HRIDZ UR-109 PRO system is designed so both microphones automatically connect to the same channel on the receiver (usually shown as Channel 1). This is normal and does not affect sound quality. If you hear a hum, it usually relates to the setup, power, or connections.
Please try the following steps:
✅ Step 1: Test with One Mic at a Time
-
Turn on Mic A only → check sound.
-
Turn on Mic B only → check sound.
-
Turn on both mics together → compare.
👉 If the hum only appears when both are on, it may be a gain/volume or power setup issue.
✅ Step 2: Check Cables and Connections
-
Make sure the XLR or 6.35mm (¼ inch) cable from the receiver to your speaker/mixer is firmly connected.
-
Try a different cable to rule out cable issues.
-
If available, use a balanced XLR cable instead of 6.35mm – this greatly reduces hum and noise.
✅ Step 3: Power and Grounding
-
Plug both the receiver and the speaker/mixer into the same power board.
-
Avoid using two separate wall sockets (this can cause a “ground loop” hum).
-
If you are using an extension cord or power strip, test with a different one.
✅ Step 4: Receiver Antennas
-
Make sure both antennas are fully extended.
-
Position them in a V shape (about 45° outward) for the best reception.
✅ Step 5: Placement & Interference
-
Keep the microphones at least 2–3 meters away from the receiver antennas and speakers.
-
Do not place the receiver directly next to WiFi routers, LED lights, Bluetooth speakers, or other wireless devices.
-
Hold microphones apart from each other when using both at the same time.
✅ Step 6: Adjust Volume & Gain
-
Lower the mic volume on your speaker/mixer and increase slowly until the sound is clear.
-
Too much gain/volume can amplify low-frequency hum.
🎯 Quick Summary
-
Both mics share the same channel – this is normal.
-
Check cables, power, and connections.
-
Keep receiver and mics well positioned.
-
Adjust volume/gain to reduce hum.
If you try all these steps and still hear humming, please let us know what type of speaker/mixer, cables, and power setup you are using, and we will provide further support.
